The road from Zurich crosses green hills and follows the Lake of the Four Cantons to Lucerne, where there is time to walk across the Chapel Bridge and through the old town.
From Engelberg a series of cable cars climbs to Mount Titlis, the last one the Rotair, which turns a full circle as it rises above the glacier to 3,000 metres. At the top there is snow in every season: the Cliff Walk, Europe's highest suspension bridge, the Ice Flyer chairlift over the crevasses, the Glacier Cave and snow tubing.
